Defibrillator for use in the community
We recently registered our defibrillator at the entrance to our site, for use in the community, with ‘The Circuit’, National Defibrillator Network.
We recently registered our defibrillator at the entrance to our site, for use in the community, with ‘The Circuit’, National Defibrillator Network.
This means the emergency services will be able to locate it and gain access via the unique key code.
Chris Railton Team leader from the Northwich Community First Responders came to visit us, to see the defibrillator and receive our community funding grant, for help with the costs of their personal protection equipment.
Chris had this to say:
"Community defibrillators are a massive asset to our community, because when someone suffers a cardiac arrest, in almost all cases, their only chance of survival is early defibrillation. That is where community defibrillators can afford that person the best chance of survival. Having the defibrillator locally at Storengys UK’s site entrance on a busy A road, that is available to be brought to the patient gives them that chance of early defibrillation.
They require no training to be used and literally talk the user through what they need to do, the defibrillator will decide if the patient needs to be “shocked” or not so by using one the situation can never be made worse, but you might just save someone’s life. Thank you to Storengy UK for registering this defib for community use and for their continued support"
