Last week, Storengy UK and its Responsible Business Board were joined by representatives from local government, education and the energy sector for the launch of its Responsible Business Board Sustainability report. Participants at the event were given the opportunity to see the largest onshore gas storage facility in the UK up close, with a guided tour of the Stublach site. Managing Director, Franck Turmel-Josek also outlined Storengy UK’s aspirations for the future including enhancing the Stublach site biodiversity & environment and contributing to wider skills development within the Cheshire area. He also spoke about the importance of driving a low carbon future with increased focus on scope 3 CO2e emissions and was joined by David Parkin from Progressive Energy who provided a fascinating insight into the Northwest energy infrastructure project HyNet.
