The solar array has been running for four months and the power savings so far are really helping us on our path to net zero
In February we shared the news that our on-site solar array was fully operational. Now we can share some figures: the array generated 536 MWh up to 16th May 2022. To put that into context, the average electricity consumption of a three-bedroom house is 3 MWh per year. Our on-site solar farm has generated enough energy to power 178 homes for a year - in just 4 months! This means we are running our gas plant more efficiently and moving faster in the journey to our net zero goals.
