2009 Open Day

Storengy UK's first Open Day:  Saturday 21st November 2009

In October 2009, the Stublach Project reached a key milestone with the start of the Solution Mining activities. To celebrate this event, the company decided to hold an Open Day with the aim of explaining to the public about GDF SUEZ/ Storengy, the need for gas storage in the UK and the scope of the Stublach Project.

Held at Lach Dennis Village Hall in Cheshire, the Open Day was dedicated to local residents as well as councillors. Exhibition stands and project materials were available in the hall for the public to view. A shuttle bus was provided and visitors were encouraged to participate in guided tours of the site.

The Open Day was proved to be a real success with more than 100 people attending and Storengy UK were pleased to receive a great deal of positive feedback.

Storengy UK would like to thank all those that attended on the day and contributed to it's success.
